What makes wind development different from solar development?

Wind projects typically have distinct resource-measurement, turbine-logistics, visual, wildlife, road, crane, foundation, and collection-system requirements.

When should construction planning begin?

Construction input should begin during development because transportation routes, crane access, foundation conditions, equipment choices, and seasonal constraints can influence feasibility and schedule.

What is the purpose of wind-asset maintenance planning?

The goal is to support safe operation, equipment availability, rapid issue response, documented service, and informed lifecycle decisions.

How long does a wind measurement campaign take?

Typically 12 months minimum to capture a full seasonal cycle, correlated against a long-term reference to reduce uncertainty in the production estimate. Shorter campaigns increase uncertainty and are usually discounted by financing parties.

What usually limits a wind site?

Most often transport access or setback constraints rather than the wind resource itself. A good resource on a site that cannot receive blades, or cannot meet noise limits at the nearest dwelling, is not a project.

Do you work on repowering existing wind sites?

Yes. Repowering brings its own questions — existing interconnection capacity, foundation reuse, permit amendments and the treatment of the original equipment — and those are assessed before a technology decision is made.
